Hi Emanuela! No recommendations today but I am very eager to dig into the Substack post recommendations. The Idea of 'multipotentialite' is exciting and intriguing. It feels like something I already know but haven't defined or acknowledged as a strength. More like "I have shiny object syndrome so I am constantly moving from one topic to the next without achieving mastery." Thanks for bringing this concept to my awareness. Can't wait to learn more!
Hi Camila, I'm glad you appreciated the concept of being multipotential. Besides Maissane's article, which I found very insightful, I've read extensively on this topic and even sought advice from a coach regarding this characteristic of mine. Sometimes, when we don't fit into the traditional mold of having a single passion or a "unique calling," we might feel like there's something wrong with us. But in reality, we're just different! I'll be writing a full post on this soon. Stay tuned!
Looking forward to that post. But I think we do have a passion, it's just not to go deeply into any One talent but instead learn about new ideas/skills and either share our knowledge (writing/teaching) or make unexpected connections between unrelated domains to solve problems with innovation and invention.
Great roundup post, I'm going to benefit from some of these reads, thanks for sharing Emanuela :)
The next post of this series will be online this weekend. I hope you enjoy it!
Loved reading this episode of Deepen your gaze Emanuela! Thank you for featuring my post 😊 always a pleasure reading a fellow multipotentialite!
I’m enjoying “Small Arcs of Larger Circles” by Nora Bateson. Fascinating collection of stories, essays, poems and letters. On being.
Thank you Andy for the suggestion! I will definitely check it out and add to the suggestion for the community.
