One of the hardest things to convey is the organisation culture. Which imho is another way of describing what you’re talking so well about.

The fundamental problem tho with then recognising that this is indeed what the newbie needs to know… is how to convey it.

Too often that task is given to too junior an employee or to just “produce a manual” of it.

It’s not easy, in fact it’s really hard. “Depending on the culture” your tips are well articulated. Cheers.

Absolutely — it’s a matter of organisational culture!

I’ve often seen newcomers overloaded with all the formalities and follow-ups. On one hand, this can help them feel accountable — but on the other, it risks letting seniors and management off the hook.

My approach: everyone must contribute.

Experience shouldn’t just mean technical know-how — it’s also about how we organise ourselves as a group, how we share responsibilities, and how we build an environment where inclusion is truly everyone’s business.

I love this idea, Emanuela! I'm working on keeping my teams super small these days, but I absolutely plan to incorporate this personal sharing that helps people understand better how to work together. Heck, it should go beyond the workplace and into the home!

Whether in small or large teams, it’s always important to know each other and be aware of our differences. When we understand them, we can leverage them 💪
